  3. This year’s program includes: 6 days and 5 nights in Washington DC, we depart early on Sunday the 16th and return early evening on the 21st allowing for almost an extra day of activities. Visits to: FDR, Lincoln and Jefferson memorials, the Whitehouse, the Supreme Court, Georgetown, the Pentagon, Iwo Jima Memorial, Museums, the Holocaust Museum, the Smithsonian, the Newseum, International Spy Museum etc. Capital Hill day where students will meet with Georgia members of Congress and tour of one the most well known buildings in the world. Domestic Issues Seminar, guest speakers and students will participate in a Mock Congress with kids from all over the county sharing and debating their views. A day with your teachers to visit the sights and student chosen activities.

  4. Enrollment • This year you can enroll and make their payments online now! Not only will this help by allowing you to gradually make payments over time; but if you pay the $300 deposit by September 18th you will lock in our early bird price. • Close-Up arranges all travel, hotels and tours. • Deposit: $300 nonrefundable Due by Sept. 18th. • E-Registration: All participants must register at www.CloseUp.org, It's quick and easy. • Coach will register your name and will give you a login and password then you can log in and complete the registration process.

  5. Tentative Times Day 1 • Depart approximately 6am Sunday January 16th. ATL • Arrive DC 7:30 • Arrive at Hotel 9:00 • Breakfast • Spy Museum • White House • Fords Theater

  6. Trip Costs • Tuition $1189 • Travel $ 294 • Total $1483 You can use frequent flyer or take care of your own travel but you have to get there on your own.

  7. Capital Hill Day • Visit Georgia members of Congress • Sit in on Session. • Lunch in the members dining hall. • Visit the Library of Congress • Visit the Supreme Court.

  8. Evening out and Last Day • Evening out various options available. • Last Day • The Whitehouse • National Achieves • Smithsonian Air Space and U.S. History Museum • Lunch at The Hard Rock Café D.C. • Other student chosen activities.

  9. Things you will need… • Spending money • Snacks, Souvenirs, breakfast day 1, Lunch last day. • Clothes • Warm Clothes Temps can range from highs in the teens to highs in the low 50’s. • Walking Shoes • Dress clothes for Capital Hill day and the ball.
