QIS 5 milestones Dec 2009 Mar 2010 Jun 2010 Aug 2010 Nov 2010 Apr 2011 Jan 2011: delivery of headlines to EC, parliament and stakeholders CEIOPS Development of Technical Specification Development and testing of spreadsheet and reporting tools (CEIOPS QIS5 Task Force), also delivery of training Analysis of firms’ submissions, preparation and delivery of CEIOPS report Firms Preparation for QIS5 (systems, expertise, reporting,…) Firms respond to consultation on Tech Spec Completion of QIS5: quantitative and qualitative aspects FSA Consideration of fit with existing (ICAS) regime and possibility for supervisory action resulting from QIS5 exercise Development and negotiation of tech spec Input to CEIOPS QIS5 TF Analysis of UK firms’ submissions: strong emphasis on supervisory input. Production of UK QIS5 report and management of positioning/ communication of results Internal training: supervisors and other internal stakeholders Roadshows, workshops and other comms and training for external stakeholders
