The vaccination encounter • Anaphylaxis response kit ? • Cold chain in place? • Patient’s immune status assessed? • Options discussed with the patient + valid consent obtained • Vaccine prepared: check dose, reconstitute, locate injection site + administer • Observe patient 15 minutes : aware of adverse events after immunisation • Live viral vaccines given either on the same day( at different sites) or 3-4 weeks apart
