APEX Classroom Rules and Consequences for Student Conduct

PLEASE KEEP YOUR VOICE AT A LOW TO ENSURE THAT EVERY ONE IS ABLE TO CONCENTRATE ON THEIR OWN WORK • Consequences: —1st warning: Teacher may ask you to stop talking, you must do so the first time asked. —2nd warning: Teacher may ask you to sit somewhere else. —3rd warning: Detention and/or Parent Phone call. —4th warning: Teacher reserves the right to escort you to a different classroom. **If you experience these warnings regularly, or violate the above severely on any day, a parent conference with Administration will follow.

ALWAYS SIT IN YOUR ASSIGNED SEAT • Consequences: —1st warning: Teacher will ask you to move to your assigned seat, you must do so the first time asked. —2nd warning: Detention and/or Parent Phone call. —3rd warning: Teacher reserves the right to escort you to a different classroom. **If you experience these warnings regularly, or violate the above severely on any day, a parent conference with Administration will follow.

MUSIC IS ACCEPTABLE ONLY WITH HEADPHONES AND IT CANNOT INTERFERE WITH LEARNING —1st warning: The Teacher may ask you to lower your music, you must do so the first time asked. —2nd warning: Confiscate headphones and/or laptop. —3rd warning: Detention & Parent Phone Call. Teacher reserves the right to escort you to a different classroom. **If you experience these warnings regularly, or violate the above severely on any day, a parent conference with Administration will follow.

  5. 4. ABSOLUTELY NO EATING OR DRINKING IN CLASS. (sorry!) IT’S SIMPLE!  NO FOOD/DRINKS=A CLEAN CLASSROOM Please keep the classroom as clean as possible and push in your chair and clean up after yourself **Teacher reserves the right to throw away ALL food and drinks in sight. **Consequences: Detention (cleaning classroom) and/or Parent Phone Call.

  6. 5. COMPUTER USAGE IS SOLELY FOR APEX COURSE WORK! ANY UNRELATEDOR INAPPROPRIATE WEBSITES/ GAMES WILL RESULT IN AUTOMATIC 1st WARNING 2nd warning: Detention and Phone Call Home 3rd warning: You will lose your laptop for the remainder of the period + 10 min. classroom cleanliness **If you experience these warnings regularly, or violate the above severely on any day, a parent conference with Administration will follow. • Music is acceptable only from iTunes • YouTube is NOT allowed • Pandora is NOT allowed • Spotify is NOT allowed • and any other music sites, except iTunes
