39. 2007-2008 ELPA Initial Screening • Home Language Survey Questions • Is the student’s native tongue a language other than English? • Is a language other than English spoken in the student’s home or environment?

40. 2007-2008 ELPA Initial Screening • If the answer to either question is “yes”, the student is assessed to determine eligibility of services using the ELPA Initial Screening. • The scores from the ELPA Initial Screening and other information or data are used to determine eligibility for LEP services.

41. 2007-2008 ELPA Initial Screening What assessment accommodations are available to students during the ELPA Initial Screening? • All students with disabilities who are potential ELLs can participate
