Explore the compelling story of the Hochkammer family as they embarked on a new life in America. Journey back to 1813 and witness how Johann Hochkammer, the patriarch, laid down roots in Manitowoc, WI, with a dairy farm that still stands today. Meet the current stewards of the land, Uncle Tom, Aunt Ann, and their sons, carrying on the family legacy. Witness the enduring bond as Great Grandparents Hochkammer continue to reside in the same home. Delve into the reasons behind their migration - seeking better opportunities and fertile farmlands. Compare their experience in America to their life in Germany and learn how freedom enriched their lives. Uncover the legacy of a family's determination and perseverance in a new land.
