  2. Topics to be covered… • Native Americans • Explorers • Colonial Times • American Revolution • Foundations of Government • Westward Expansion • Immigration • Civil War • Economics • Civic Responsibility

Social Studies Common Assessment • Students will receive a study guide/review packet closer to the Common Assessment. • Similar to End-of-Grade (but shorter) • Common Assessment will have 26 Multiple Choice questions and 2 Constructed Response questions. • Common Assessment will be towards the end of January.

  6. Topics to be covered… • Weather (Clouds, Instruments, Weather Patterns, etc) • Water Cycle (Evaporation/Transpiration, Condensation, Precipitation, Run-off) • Matter and Energy/Properties (Solids, Liquids, Gases and how they change)

  7. Force and Motion (Gravity, Newton’s Laws of Motion) • Human Body (Circulatory, Respiratory, Skeletal, Muscular, Digestive) • Genetics and Heredity (Humans, Plants, Animals) • Ecosystems (Terrestrial v. Aquatic, Producers, Consumers, Decomposers)

  8. Science End-of-Grade Test • Students will be given a review packet towards the end of school year. We will work on it daily and students will be encouraged to review at night with parents/guardians. • All multiple choice questions. • All topics will be on test – vocabulary is essential!

  9. Classroom Information… • Please look for unit test – they should be signed and returned to school. • Encourage students to ask questions during class. • Students should keep all notes, handouts, etc. for the remainder of the semester.
