Background on Professional: Technician: • - Receives trouble calls on equipment and diagnoses problems to the companies various equipment • - Performs equipment repair and identifies where the failure occurred • Prepares and decides which equipment to send out for repair or replacement • Has to also train lower level technicians that do not know the work yet and will hopefully soon take over this part of his job IT Audit: • Must make sure IT management has satisfactory standards in place for system development • Data center operations with good security • Deal with information security assessments, meaning making sure there is proper security on all workstations, servers and databases.

Software Choice 1: • A vendor of on-demand, integrated business management software suites for mid-market enterprises and divisions of large companies • NetSuiteEcommerce is the only web-based software to combine Ecommerce, Inventory, Accounting and CRM into one seamless system • Advertised as the software that is best whether your organization sells business-to-consumer (B2C) or business to business (B2B) • Best on the market antivirus agents and recently have announced a new email security system • Mentioned in many scholarly sources and IT online newspapers, and has great reputation

Software Choice 2: • A single area company, in which their efforts are focused on developing and supporting a limited range of applications • Out of the three software companies, this program is the most used and known worldwide, and has invested more than $62 million in research and development • Mostly focused on Internet Management and Security to prevent data breaching • Websenseallows organizations to block the use of removable media to prevent files from being transferred to these devices and leaving the organization. • Also great reputation and proven success, resulting in Websense taking lead role in the APWG’s Phishing Data Repository project.

Software Choice 3: • VMware VMsafe is a new security technology for virtualized environments which helps protect your virtual infrastructure • This virtual machine can access, correlate and modify data to help control and protect memory, networking, and storage within a company • Advertises stronger security, tighter policy control, better isolation, closer correlation, and better scalability
