  2. My IT Consultant • Technology coordinator of my hometown school district. • Responsible for almost all aspects of technology within the district. • Tasked me with finding out information about the inclusion of technology into the classroom.

  3. Supporting Literature • Incorporating technology into the classroom is easier than it often appears. • Cost is a big reason to refrain from using technology. • Not all courses use technology in the same way. • Technology itself does not enhance the learning experience.

  4. Supporting Literature (Cont.) • Teachers need to understand how to use the technology available to them currently. • Teachers should be encouraged to use technology in the classroom. • Students often have a stronger understanding of technology than their teachers.

  5. Feedback • Will create teaching sessions over the summer to help older teachers use technology more appropriately. • Look into upgrading rather than purchasing new equipment. • Take polls and see which teachers would like to have more technology incorporated into their classroom.
