  6. Intervention/Enrichment: • All students take a benchmark test 3 times a year. • They will receive intervention, determined by the benchmark, in their area of need (intervention/enrichment). • Students are progress monitored in specific areas if needed. • Progress monitoring is used to track whether or not the intervention is meeting the students’ needs.

  7. Homework officially begins this week and students will be responsible for completing each assignment daily. They will be required to bring their homework back the following day, as we will review the homework in class for completion and accuracy. • The only day students will NOT have homework is on Friday. Students will have a daily Math and Reading assignment. Science and Social Studies will be assigned as needed. In addition to the reading worksheet, I do encourage students to read 15 minutes a night to continue to build reading fluency.

  8. If you have not already joined Class Dojo, please do so. I will be using class Dojo to monitor student’s daily behavior. My goal in using this tool, is to keep you well informed of your child’s daily behavior. • Class Dojo also allows you to message me directly, view classroom highlights, and see exactly the behavior your child is exhibiting for the day. On Friday’s, you will notice a larger point deduction. This is due to Friday being reward day. Students have the option of redeeming points for rewards or saving them for larger prizes. Whenever there is a point deduction, I will always have the reason stated. Students have truly enjoyed using Class Dojo.
