Summary Sergeant at the Law paid his calls at St. Paul’s Cathedral and helps people there He is a lawyer Man of excellence, reverent, and wise He was often Justice of Assize His high recognition gave him authority No other person could match his work He was very busy but less busy than he seemed to be He knew of every case and crime recorded since King William’s time He could dictate defenses and no one could talk during his speech He wore a partly colored coat with a girt with a silk belt
  3. Job Description/Social Position He is a lawyer and he is very high socially He is head of authority and no one talks when he is talking He is very smart and is the best at what he does
  4. Traveling Companions The only person with him was a Franklin (wealthy landowner) As you can see he walks and talks with people who rank high socially

  6. Physical Appearance He wore a homely parti-colored coat girt with a silken belt of pin-stripe stuff

  11. Reasons for the Journey I would assume he is going to have a vacation or to change his work place. He either needs a break from work or he is going to try and enhance his work and get more money. He is always thinking about his job while he is traveling so I’m leaning towards a vacation.
