Written Before 70 AD • 10:1: “… the law … can never, by the same sacrifices which are continually offered year after year, make perfect those who draw near.” • 10:3f: “… in these sacrifices there is a reminder of sin year after year. For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.” • 10:8: “… these are offered according to the law.” • 10:11: “… every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.”

  5. 8 Exceeding Excellencies of Christ • God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, • In these last days has spoken to us in His Son, Whom He appointed Heir of all things, through Whom also He made the world. ------------ • And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, an upholds all things by the Word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on High.”

  7. II. Christ: The Sole Heir & Favorite Son • Romans 11:36: “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.” • Colossians 1:16: “For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities – all things have been created through Him and for Him.”
