Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing (HPRP) Background • What: U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provided $1.5 billion for HPRP activities ($13 million within San Diego County) • When: October 1, 2009 – September 30, 2012 • Who: Focus is to serve persons who are homeless or would be homeless but for this assistance and who can remain stably housed after this temporary assistance ends
