  2. EVERYONE called to SERVE • ‘Each one should use whatever gift they has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.’ 1 Peter 4:10 • ‘Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.’ 1 Cor 12:7 Purposes of Christ-likeness 2

  3. EVERYONE called to SERVE • ‘For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ Eph 2:10 Purposes of Christ-likeness 3

EVERYONE called to SERVE • ‘...he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature,..’ Eph 4:11-13 Purposes of Christ-likeness 4

  7. ENGAGE in SERVICE ‘I don’t know’ – do nothing ‘I don’t know’ – do something ‘Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.’ Isa 64:8 Purposes of Christ-likeness 7

  8. ENGAGE in SOMETHING SHAPE Spiritual Gifts – gifts God has given? Heart (passion) – what do I love to do? Abilities – what are my natural talents? Personality – best suit me to serve? Experience – what experiences have I had? Purposes of Christ-likeness 8

  9. EVERYONE called to SERVE • EQUIPPED by the SPIRIT • ENGAGE in SERVICE • so that the body of Christ may be built up13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature,..’ Eph 4:12-13 Purposes of Christ-likeness 9
