Bagby ELA Update Action: Targeted Intervention Addition • Utilize auxiliary staff to provide support to targeted students with additional small group instruction. • RSP teacher and aide will provide support in additional RtI section for RSP students and selected FBB/BB students. Action: Targeted Instruction for EL students Addition • Provide GLAD training to staff • Establish English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC) and facilitate at least three meetings this year.

  7. Bagby Math Update Action: Implement standards based math curriculum using problem solving strategies Addition • Two 5th grade teachers will pilot the Investigations portion of Envision Math to provide greater opportunity for critical thinking and problem solving. • Utilize SuccessMaker four days a week during Math Center time and/or additional scheduled time during the day for targeted students with CST scores Basic or below.

Farnham ELA Update Action: RtI/Power Group Intervention Addition • Integrate RSP teacher into RtI Power Group to service students with IEP reading goals and selected students with intensive needs. • Integrate SuccessMaker into RtI schedule for Intensive/Strategic Power Groups for targeted instruction

  9. Farnham ELA Update Action: English Language Development Addition • Establish English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC) and facilitate three meetings this year. Revision • EL support staff will provide ELD pullout model 30 minutes/day, four times/week for EL students with CELDT levels 1, 2, and 3.

Farnham ELA Update Action: Professional Development Addition • Using results of APS survey, site will determine and provide needed professional development focused on improving students achievement in Language Arts. • Train all teachers in GLAD by end of school year and integrate GLAD strategies into ELA. • Staff will explore training on Explicit ELD instruction. • Train all teachers in key components of SuccessMaker.

  11. Farnham Math Update Action: Established Instructional Math Block Addition • Implement Mountain Math as part of Math Block to further develop basic math skills and vocabulary. • Begin integration of GLAD strategies through Math. Action: Math PD and training Addition • Staff will explore opportunity to be involved with the SVMI Lesson Study project. • Using results of APS survey, site will determine and provide needed professional development focused on improving students achievement in Math.

  12. Farnham Math Update Action: Additional/Extended Learning Time Revision • Integrate SuccessMaker during and beyond the school day for students performing Basic or below in Math.

Sartorette ELA Update Action: Response to Intervention/ExCel Addition • Integrate RSP teacher into RtI Power Group to service students with IEP reading goals and selected students with intensive needs. • Use SuccessMaker as part of targeted instruction during RtI regrouping for students in intensive/strategic groups in grades 2-5. • Teachers will develop and utilize grade level common assessments to determine growth and facilitate fluid placement of students for RtI regrouping.

Sartorette Math Update Action: Interventions Revision • Use SuccessMaker to support non-proficient students in Math during Math instruction, at other times during the day, and during extended learning time after school Action: Professional Development (Added Action) • Using results of APS survey, site will determine and provide needed professional development focused on improving students achievement in Math.

Fammatre ELA Update Action: Targeted Intervention/RtI Addition • Integrate RSP teacher into selected RtI groups to service students with IEP reading goals and selected students with intensive needs. • Integrate SuccessMaker into RtI schedule for Intensive/Strategic groups for targeted instruction. Action: English Language Development Revision • EL support staff will provide ELD in a pull-out/push in model 30 minutes a day three times a week for EL students with CELDT levels of 1, 2, and 3.

Action: Extended Learning Time (Added Action) • Utilize SuccessMaker during extended learning time for grades 3-5 for additional targeted instruction for 30 minutes a day, 3-4 days/week.

Fammatre ELA Update Action: Professional Development (Added Action) • Using results of APS survey, site will determine and provide needed professional development focused on improving students achievement in Language Arts. • Begin GLAD training in the Spring. • Train selected teachers in Key components and use of SuccessMaker. • All teachers will explore use of Explicit ELD/SDAIE instruction and strategies throughout the day.

Fammatre Math Update Action: Professional Development (Added Action) • Using results of APS survey, site will determine and provide needed professional development focused on improving students achievement in Math. • Train teachers in the effective use of SMART Boards to enhance instruction and student engagement.

Price ELA Update Action: Support Intensive Reading and EL RtI Addition • Identify target students not meeting proficiency in ELA. • Grade levels and individual teachers will set goals focused on targeted students. • Integrate SuccessMaker into ELA classes for selected students for targeted instruction. • Use SuccessMaker to provide targeted intervention before and after school for identified non proficient students. • Monitor growth of targeted students.

  24. Next Steps • Carefully monitor implementation of SPSA. • Track growth of targeted students using Benchmarks and other formative and summative assessments. • Adjust instruction accordingly • Provide SuccessMaker training and support to all sites. • Provide other support, PD, and coaching needed to best support student achievement at the sites.
