The Life of Mr. O • Born June 10, 1929, still very much alive. • Born in Birmingham, Alabama • Occupation (that’s his job): Wilson is currently the Pellegrino University Research Professor, Emeritus in Entomology for the Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University • Educational training: biologist, theorist, naturalist (not nudist), and author!

  3. Edwards, contribution. • In The Diversity of Life and The Future of Life he conveys his deep concern for humanity's bewildering degradation of our planet's ecosystems. His commitment to protecting our natural heritage has brought him to theforefront of environmental activism. • He outlined a new field of study, known as sociobiology: the study of all animal interactions, especially humans.

  4. Wilson and our study of APES • In our study of APES we are looking at how humans impact the environment and this is one of Wilsons main concerns in his studies and the books he writes.
