Name of BiomeGeography & Climate • Location: Florida, rivers, lakes in Russia, and minerals and nutrition. • Description: A location with plenty of minerals and nutrition. • Soil type: deep, rich, soil • Precipitation: Very little • Temperature range: From 39 degrees to 71 degrees. • Climate: From 39 degrees to 71 degrees.

Name of BiomeBiodiversity • About 1900 species. • Plants: Spike rush, bull rush, pickerel weed, cattail, water lily, algae, cyanobacteria, man grove leaves. • Animals: Amphibians, mollusks, insects, frogs, crab, shrimp, turtles, tadpole, bass, salmon, trout, raccoon, earthworms, possums, birds, mosquitoes, and manatees.

  4. Name of BiomeAdaptations Needed for Survival • Plant: Some aquatic plants have strongly roots that keep them anchored securely, others have stems that bend with the movement of water. Plants in still water float on top. • Animal: Some animals need the movement of the water to survive. Some animals suction-cups so they can hang on to rocks in fast moving waters.

  5. Name of BiomeInteractions of Biotic and Abiotic • The sun provides plants with food through photosynthesis and the plants provide food and oxygen for the organisms around it. • The water in the streams rivers or lakes provides the organisms that live in a home or shelter.

  6. What is Biodiversity? • Biodiversity- the number of different plants and animals in an specific area.

  7. How does biodiversity contribute to the sustainability of an ecosystem? • The bigger the biodiversity the better. Because it makes up a food chain to limit the population making it better. In a food chain the plants and animals die, reproduce, live, and the new born organisms make the food chain refresh as they grow older.
