  2. About Slovenia Slovenia is a thriving European Union country bordering Germany, Austria, Italy, Hungary and Croatia. Formerly a part of Yugoslavia, Slovenia became a sovereign nation in 1991 and joined the European Union and Eurozone in the year 2005. and The capital and largest city of Slovenia is Ljubljana. The economy of Slovenia is small, open, and export-oriented.

  4. Business Sectors Tourism Tourism is one of the key and fastest growing sectors in the Slovenian economy. The Slovenian tourism industry contributes approximately 15% of the GDP. The sector also employs a huge percentage of active workforce.

The distant second place is the Netherlands at a growth rate of 2.1%.
