This study presents the annual primary production in sea ice, focusing on spatial and seasonal variability of DMS production. Implemented in CICE with a 20m slab configuration for 1992, it assesses ice ecosystem dynamics, biogeochemical cycling, and impacts on marine food webs. Observations and model results offer insights into sulfur compounds and DMSP concentration in sea ice and seawater, highlighting their role in trace gas exchange, cloud formation, and albedo feedback.
