  2. Numbered Heads Together • How to use it. • Examples. • When to use it.

  3. How To Use It • Students work in groups of four. Each student in the group counts off so that students are numbered from 1to 4. • Students are given a question to answer. A question must have a limited number of answers and these be ones upon which consensus can be reached easily.

  4. How To Use It Continued • Students work in their groups to determine the correct answer(s) to the question posted. It is important that each student be able to provide the answer(s) if called upon. • Time is called. A number from 1 to 4 is called at random. The student in each group with that number raises his/her hand to answer on behalf of the group.

  5. Examples • A. The teacher makes a number of statements; students decide whether they are true or false. E.g. ,trunk(jadh’) is part of tree(shajarah). (referring to a picture). • B. Students may be asked to name four - Favorite plants - Things about “zaa’tar” - Parts of the tree

  6. When To Use It • After you conduct your lesson • As an assessment
