  2. What is TDG? When explosive goods are transported by road, rail, air, or other means of transport, it is mandatory to abide by the TDG Act & Regulation. Each area and territory has its TDG legislation, but it generally reflects the Canadian government’s federal regulations.

  3. What is measured as dangerous goods? Generally, any product that has the potential to cause an irrational risk to public safety, health, and property when transported is considered a dangerous good. These goods can be common household items, such as oven cleaner, lithium batteries, vanilla extracts, etc.

  4. Who needs a TDG training certification? TDG certification is required for those who handle goods that meet the definition of dangerous goods in the TDG Act and Regulation. This certification is also necessary for those workers who load and unload the goods before and after shipment.

  5. How long is a TDG training certificate valid? This certificate is valid for three years from the training and exam completion date. We all know that regulations can change from time to time, so it is important to revisit the TDG training platform every few years to ensure that you are updated with new regulations.
