  4. NISD Wi-Fi • Wireless access for non-NISD owned laptops • Daily Password • Who can/should use NISD Wi-Fi • Student Pilot Brandeis & Vale • Available TODAY!!!

NSynch (Password Management) • Web-Based password management tool • Self-Service Password Resets • Four Initial systems targeted • Network Systems (Novell/Active Directory) • Gradebook, Groupwise, eLearn, eClasses, Intranet from Home • Lotus Notes (web & client) • LN Web: PDAS, Print Services, Workers Comp, ETS • LN Client: Position Management • Cognos

  6. NSynch • Staff & Secondary Students • Timeline • Staff: Oct. 1 – Nov. 30 • Secondary Students: Sep. 8 (Tentative)

Internet Filtering • Staff and Student Filtering Rights • Student Internet Rights is the default • Staff Internet Rights • AD users get their Internet Rights during logon • Non-AD (Novell) must use Web Authentication • Web Auth: Available now • AD logon rights will be rolled out during first month • More info on Categories & Web Auth can be found at http://www.nisd.net/technology/training
