  17. YEAR 2005 Two centers were launched in 2005 The Smokey Telecenter managed by the Sandiwaan Learning Center under the supervision of Fr. Benigno Beltran, SVD

  19. YEAR 2006 This year marked the establishment of a center for the persons with disabilities, a laboratory with eight computers Partnered with Bagong Henerasyon, an NGO based in Quezon City Training conducted by a full-time trainer

  20. YEAR 2007 ADOC partnered with Lakan Dula High School based in Manila Focus on training the students of the school ICT training is an integral part of the school curriculum

  21. YEAR 2007 The ADOC e-Learning Center has 14 thin-client computers with servers and peripherals School is expected to train approximately 500 individual students each year

  22. YEAR 2008 • ADOC set up another computer laboratory with 15 computers loaded with eduBuntu linux, a free open source software • ZOTO will train children and youth

  23. ADOC e-Learning Digital Center for Women was established primarily for training and advocacy programs to empower women on the field of ICT YEAR 2008

  24. A center for Women was set up inside the University of the Philippine campus in Diliman Quezon City with a computer laboratory of 15 computers with preinstalled Suse Linux, another distribution of Linux YEAR 2008

  29. TESDA CERTIFICATION TESDA certification exam started in 2007 In 2007, out of 150 graduates for the Basic Literacy 75 students passed the NCI II PC Operations In 2008, 113 are graduates but the TESDA exam will be given in November

  30. 3.CHALLENGES Volunteer instructors Standards of DEPed vis a vis the standards set by CICT-HCDG Involvement of the Barangay Leaders on the ICT training implementation on the barangay level Job Placement

  31. 4. NEXT STEP Collaboration with TESDA for certification exams Collaboration with Public Employment Service Office (PESO) for possible job placement (part of tie-up with the Quezon City Government) Tie-up the program with the Barangay for technology transfer to other Out of School Youth

  32. 5.Innovation Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful, it is threatening because it means that things may get worse (King Whitney Jr) If you keep doing pretty much what you’ve always done, you’ll keep on getting pretty much what you’ve always got ( Jack Canfield)
