  1. MovieMaker Directions Click on Internet Explorer to open the Ramsey School District website Click on the VIDEO tab Click on SMITH STUDENT VIDEO Click on 8B or 8A Right click and go to NEW then FOLDER Name your folder your first and last name Right click your name folder then go to SEND TO-DESKTOP Then double click your name and create the following folders: Step 1 Create a folder CLOSE OUT OF EVERYTHING AND FIND YOUR NAME FOLDER ON YOUR DESKTOP

  2. Saving pictures Go to google.com and search for images related to your topic. Right click the image and go to “Save Picture As.” Next click on DESKTOP, YOUR NAME, PICTURES, SAVE 1 2 3

  3. Saving instrumental music • Go to freeplaymusic.com • Choose a category or search by keyword • To listen to a song click on the MP3 • Click open to play or save to your DESKTOP, NAME FOLDER, MUSIC FOLDER

  4. Saving your home video • Put your video card into a laptop or video card reader • Open the card by going to COMPUTER then the card name • Right click the video file • Go to your desktop and double click your NAME folder then the VIDEO folder- right click and paste

  5. Converting your video • Go to start • All programs, REAL folder, REAL Player Converter • Click on ADD • Go to DESKTOP, NAME folder, and VIDEO FOLDER, click on your video • Then follow the directions on the You Tube slides

  6. Saving a You Tube video PART 1 • Find video on You Tube • Mouse over the top RIGHT of the video and click on DOWNLOAD THIS VIDEO (if it does not download go to the slide titled “Setting up Real Player downloader” and follow directions) • Then click on CONVERT ALL

  7. Saving a You Tube video PART 2 • Select any device that says WINDOWS MEDIA and click OK • Select where you are saving it by going to BROWSE, DESKTOP, OK, • Click the green START button • When completed go to your desktop, find video, right click, cut, open NAME folder and paste in the VIDEO folder

  8. Setting up Real Player downloader In order to be able to download movies from You Tube this needs to be set up first. Check to see if your computer has it. • Go to start • All programs • REAL folder • REAL player SP • Follow directions to accept the program

  10. Importing pictures, music and video to Movie Maker • Open Movie Maker and click on what you want to import • Find your files by searching DESKTOP, NAME folder, IMPORT
