  2. Theme Passage 2 Cor 3 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

  3. Ministry-while there are many kinds of ministry, all of them involve representing God by the giving of something of value to another- love, truth, help, hope, wisdom, service, sustenance, grace…

  4. My Ministry Tools

  5. 1) Access to God 1 Timothy 2 1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, & giving of thanks be made for all men,

  6. 1) Access to God 1 Timothy 2 2 for kings & all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet & peaceable life in all godliness & reverence. 3 For this is good & acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,

  7. 1) Access to God 1 Timothy 2 4 who desires all men to be saved & to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God & one Mediator between God & men, the Man Christ Jesus,

  8. 1) Access to God Men may spurn our appeals, reject our message, oppose our arguments, despise our persons – but they are helpless against our prayers. SidlowBaxter

  9. 1) Access to God Luke 6 27 "But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, & pray for those who spitefully use you.

  21. 2) The Holy Spirit d) Spiritual gifts Each Christian has been given the gifts, the spiritual equipment, necessary in order for them to accomplish whatever ministry that are to do.

  22. 3) A Plan Eph 2 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

  23. 3) A Plan Ministry is a path we walk with God, following His plan for us, full of the tools that God has given us. It is not a matter of not knowing what to do, but simply being willing to do what is next.
