What are the 4 steps of combustion? • 1. INTAKE • 2. COMPRESSION • 3. SPARK • 4. EXHAUST
Add The Head Gasket • Make sure the holes line up correctly
Cylinder Head • 1. Put on bolt through the cylinder head AND gasket to make sure the holes line up correctly • 2. Use the 5 bolts and tighten the cylinder head down until snug
Lifting Rods • 1. Place the two lifters into the oval holes as shown. • 2. They should both be at the same height! • 3. DO NOT LET THE LEFT ONE FALL INTO THE CRANKCASE!
The Rocker Arms • 1. Align the retaining clip over the holes in the cylinder head. • 2. Place the Rocker Arm over top and tighten down the Rocker Arm Stud
Valve Cover • 1. Place the valve cover over the cylinder head and align with the holes. • 2. Align the engine lifting bracket with the holes as well. • 3. Tighten down the 4 bolts till snug.
Knock Sensor • 1. Align the Knock Sensor over the gasket and bolt into place using a torq or “star” bit. • 2. Feed the end of the wire through the block as shown.
