Where is Camp Jubilee? • Camp Jubilee is in North Vancouver • It is only accessible by water – it is not on an island. • Deep Cove Government Dock is where the students will depart and arrive from (usually via bus) • From the dock to Camp Jubilee is 30 minutes for our large passenger vessel. Our smaller passenger vessels complete the trip in 20 minutes or less.

What Kind of Boats are used? • All of our boats meet Transport Canada standards. • Same standards as BC Ferries • ‘Ocean Watch’ is our largest vessel. • Certified Captain • Certified Crew • Safety Equipment • Lifejacket Aboard • Life raft Aboard
What is the camp like? • Jubilee has 13 cabins & 2 yurts • Each cabin equipped with bunk beds • Each cabin has washroom • There are 2 Dining Hall’s in our lodge building • Ideally we could take everyone for a walk around the camp, but since that’s not possible…
What will they do at the camp? • We have many different activities to choose from • We feel the important thing is to get students out of the city and into a nature setting. • All of our activities are facilitated by trained instructors. Teachers or parents will be present at activities for any behavior challenges.
What’s for dinner? • Red Seal Chef • Buffet style dining • Fresh baked goods • Bottomless Salad • Typical Day: • Breakfast: Fruit, Toast, Ham, Waffles, Cereal • Lunch: Soup, Salad, Chicken Burgers • Dinner: Roast Beef, Potato, Cooked Vegetable, Salad • Snack: Oatmeal Raisin Cookie
Is it healthy? • Salad at lunch & dinner • Fruit platter at breakfast • No deep fried food • Fruit bowl for snacks • Fresh produce brought in twice weekly by boat • We provide healthy options, students must make choices.
Is there any Wildlife? • Seals are very common • Eagles can be seen early spring • Raccoons & Squirrels • Many marine species in water • A couple bear sightings each year • We have never had an issue with bears or wildlife • We have ‘Animal Intruder’ procedures in place • Camp is equipped with bear bangers & bear spray
What if there is an emergency? • All staff trained in 1st Aid. We have fully stocked first aid room on site. • We have full telephone service (we can call 911) • We have boats on site 24hrs/day • We can meet an ambulance at the dock in less than 15 minutes from camp.
