  2. Newton’s 1st Law of Motion • States that an object at rest will stay at rest, and an object in motion will stay in motion unless acted on by an outside, unbalanced force. • Also called the law of inertia

  3. Inertia • An object’s resistance to change in motion • Amount of inertia an object has depends on it’s mass. The greater the mass the greater the inertia

  4. Newton’s 2nd Law of Motion • States that acceleration depends on an objects mass and the net force acting on an object. • Acceleration= net force/ mass

  5. Acceleration • Acceleration increases if force increases. • Acceleration will increase if mass decreases
