  2. Lesson B Grammar Focus GRAMMAR : Modal Verbs: ‘will’, ‘would’ and ‘may’ 1. Will is often shortened to ‘ll and the negative form is won’t. 1.1. When talking about future events we use ‘will + infinitive’, the future simple tense. Example :- Lunch will be ready in five minutes. 1.2 We use ‘will have to’ in the meaning of ‘must’. Examples : - You’ll have to hurry. - What will you have to eat?

Examples : - Would you mind turning the radio down? - Would you please leave the room? 1.6 We use ‘would’ with a suggestion. Examples : - Would you like to join us?
