  2. Thursday, February 23, 2012Non-Judged Events Only • Go to your 1st and 2nd period classes • Eat lunch 3rd period • After 3rd period (10:55 am), go to Door 1 (Main Entrance by Main Office) • Meet Mr. Hauser & Mrs. McCormack • Don’t be late—we’ll leave without you! • Dinner stipend

  3. Friday, February 24, 2012Judged Events Only* • Be at school by 7:00 am! Do not be late! • Meet by Door 5 (Auditorium/Pool) • Meet Mrs. McCormack • Professional dress • Brunch stipend • *unless pre-approved to attend for Open Events/Merit Scholar test

  4. Saturday, February 25, 2012Everyone! • Be at school by 9:15 am! Do not be late! • Meet by Door 1 (Main Entrance) • Meet Mr. Hauser • Professional dress • Wear your BPA badge! • Brunch stipend

  5. Contests • These are notfree days off school! • All signatures and printing should be taken care of! • You are expected to compete to the best of your ability in the contest(s) you qualified for • Take Open Contests and the BPA IL Merit Scholar test • Bring a pencil and calculator in addition to all of your contest materials! • Review your contest(s) AGAIN!!!!!!

  6. Dress No cell phones during BPA events! • You must be in “business professional” clothes • For all BPA sessions • Opening session on Thursday • Closing session on Saturday • For all contests (including Open Contests) • Judged events vs. Non-judged events

  7. Conduct • All school rules apply • The hotel is a place of business • Do not leave the hotel alone • Let us if you leave and tell us who you’re with! • Members of the opposite sex should not be alone in a hotel room • Keep the door open if groups of the opposite sex are hanging out in a hotel room

  8. Meal Stipend • Thursday • $16 Dinner • Friday • $14 Brunch • Saturday • $14 Brunch • No Receipt = No Money • Fill out online form • Turn in receipts in an envelope with your name on it • Bring receipts on Monday, February 27 • Flat! • Organize by day • Will receive money on Wednesday

  9. What if You Qualify for NLC? • I will need to know very soon if you plan on attending! • April 25 – 28, 2012 • Registration = $115 • Hotel = $202 each • Assuming 4/room • Three nights (Wed/Thurs/Fri) • Spending = $200? • Food, activities, whatnot • Start talking to your parents! $550?
