  1. A Computer for Helen Victoria Campbell, BBT9 12-02-13 Mr.Rich

  2. Situation • Entrepreneur and stay-at-home mom • Runs a baking business • Has 3 children ages 13, 10 and 6 months • - She needs a computer to keep up with her business documents, advertising and remain contact with customers via email and Facebook • Something that isn’t too pricey • Her kids need the computer too for homework

  3. Recommended Computer • The Acer All-in-one is the computer Helen Parr has been waiting for! When they say all-in-one they mean it. It has a built in webcam, perfect for video conferencing clients or when her kids are doing a school project and need to Skype a friend. A big hard drive is great for when she needs to save new recipes and a 4GB RAM will keep everything running smoothly. If there is any dissatisfaction, a one-year warranty is in place but it will be highly unlikely that it would be needed because this is a magnificent computer.

  4. Chip • The Acer All-in-one has a 2.8GHz with Intel Pentium G640. It makes the computer faster It’s measured it GHz or Giga-Hertz. This recommended computer has GHz so it won’t be really slow when processing the “math questions”.

  5. RAM • This computer has 4GB of RAM. The RAM holds the working information. When the power goes out, the RAM is empty. RAM is measured in KB, MB, GB or TB. It is the most important part of a computer to upgrade. This computer has a relatively big RAM so Helen can have more than one program open without her computer taking forever to load.

  6. Data Storage • The Acer All-in-one has 1TB of Hard Drive. That is more than 1000GB. The Hard Drive stores everything that is saved and opened after the computer gets turned on. Helen is going to need a really big Hard Drive so she and her kids can save homework, recipes and pictures for and from Facebook. The Data Storage is measured, like RAM, in KB, MB, GB and TB.

  7. DVD • This computer has an 8xDVD+-RW SuperMulti Drive. So Helen can burn her business information onto a disk to give to clients or her kids can watch DVD’s on the computer.

  8. Network • This computers Wi-Fi is 802.11. It doesn’t have a wireless card because it isn’t mobile but it has a network jack called a CAT 5. Helen said she is on Facebook a lot and emails her clients as well as her kids using internet programs for school. The network will give them internet access.

  9. Others • 1 Year Warranty • Windows 8 • Webcam • Integrated Intel HD Graphics

  10. Price • This computer is $849.96. It is a great computer for Helen and her kids at an affordable price.
