Helen Parr’s situation • Entrepreneur/ stay-at-home mom/ runs a baking business • 3 kids (ages 13, 10 and 6 months) • Needs computer to keep up with business documents, advertising, contact with customers (email and Facebook) • Money is tight • Computer that will work well but isn’t too costly • Kid friendly computer to be used for homework, email and Facebook

  3. Recommended Computer • Latitude e6410 • Dell • Laptop • Found on dfsdirect.ca *This is the computer that would be great for Helen if she needed to get her advertising/documents done quickly.*

  4. Chip • The chip/processor is how fast a computer “thinks”. • The brains of a computer • Measured in Hertz Recommended computer: Core i5 2.4 GHz *This chip is fast so Helen will be able to get her work done quickly*

  5. RAM • Holds working information • Stands for Random Access Memory • Holds running programs/work in progress Recommended Computer4 GB *This will be able to hold a good amount of Helen’s work*
