Why did we do this? • Not “one more thing” for teachers to add to their already FULL platter. • Looking at state standards to imbed books into current curriculum (Language Arts, Health, Science, Social Studies) • Keep books curriculum related in case of parent concern • Natural transition from aMaze book discussion to curricular area
How we did “it”. • Review state standards at each grade level in: • Language Arts • Science • Social Studies • Health • Read each book • Find the standard at a grade level that fits the content of the book
