What Have We Achieved? • Federation Operators Practice Guidelines (FOP) • The guidelines will consist of 4 documents: • Key Management Practice Statement (out for comments) • Metadata Registration Practice Statement • Monitoring Practice Statement • Assurance Practice Statement. • https://refeds.terena.org/index.php/FOP • Entity Categories • First category, Research and Scholarship published in March 2014 • https://refeds.terena.org/index.php/Entity_Categories

What Have We Achieved? • Federation Operators Group (FOG) • Closed mailing list • Information can be used, but neither the identity, nor the affiliation of the source should be disclosed. • New members have to be endorsed by two existing members • To facilitate open discussion about operational issues • Metadata Explorer Tool (MET) • http:// met.refeds.org/met • Improved version, but it could do more • REEP • A pilot service to enable simple registration of entity metadata in a central source • Software improved • Listen to Leif’s talk

Other Results by 2014 • SCHAC Schema • TERENA to fund the initial revamp of SCHAC • Later SCHAC will be migrated under REFEDS • Editorial board to be appointed soon • Results expected by fall 2014 • International Code of Conduct • Work started last year • Plans are to co-found more work via GEANT in 2015 • Similar model used for the EU Code of Conduct • Workplan 2014 online? • https://refeds.org/work/

REFEDS RFCs • REFEDS Docs Published as RFCs • in 2013 it was decided to publish some REFEDS docs as RFCs • Pros: More weight to the docs • Cons: More overhead • RFC main stream vs RFC independent stream • Decided to use independent stream with REFEDS header • Long process • Meanwhile REFEDS docs should follow the RFC format
