Understanding Capitol Punishment: The Controversy Surrounding the Death Penalty

DESCRIPTION

Capitol punishment, commonly known as the death penalty, is a government-sanctioned punishment that determines if a person lives or dies, primarily for homicide. Critics argue it represents a significant injustice, violating the fundamental right to life. Notably, cases of wrongful convictions have occurred, including an instance where a man executed for arson and murder was later found innocent. With Texas leading the nation in executions, there is a growing call for reform and abolition of capital punishment. Activism and public awareness are essential for driving change.
