  1. A NEW HYPOTHESIS FOR CREATION OF THE MOON

  2. The moon has had a crucial role in human history. She is the first well studied cosmic body and was used for the creation of the lunar calendar and in tales and religions.

  3. Throughout the years there have been many different hypothesis for the moon`s creation. They mostly consist of catastrophic scenarios about a collusion with another cosmic body.

  4. We suggest one of the oldest yet most logical hypothesis. We believe that after the planet cooled the gravitation and centrifugal forces became stronger but Earth wasn’t solid enough so they divided matter into a single body.

  5. The moon is most likely to have been dived at the place where the centrifugal forces were the strongest – the equator. There was formed the first continent “Pangea”. Also marks of the division can be seen on the moons as well - the crater “Ejecta”.

  6. The facts supporting our hypothesis are: The similar age of the Earth(4,54 billion years) and the Moon (4,52 billion years);The similar matter of both cosmic bodies ; The equatorial deserts which have an unexplained amount of gravel and sand were we believe was the division.

  7. To support our hypothesis we have found out an amazing fact. The diameter of the Moon is 3476 km andthe length of cotemporary Sahara is about 5000 km, but having in mind that the Moon collapsed after cooling and the moving sand in Sahara the area of tearing amazingly matches

  8. Most of the ancient temples that were built in honor of the Moon and therefore civilizations that worship and used the Moon to measure time were suited in the equator and all of civilizations that were formed in Sahara worshiped the Moon.

  9. This hypothesis for the creation of the Moon and its connection with the creation of the continents gives an answer to the question for the development of life on Earth. For example it explains the disappearance of the dinosaurs duo to climate and ecosystem changes.
