University of DundeeEquality & Diversity Officer Role • Strategic • Promoting, advancing and co-ordinating equality and diversity initiatives across the University for both staff and students according to legislative requirement and best practice. • Contributing to strategy and develop annual actions plans for equality and diversity objectives. • To update existing policies and develop new policies according to legislative requirements.

University of DundeeEquality & Diversity Officer Role • Operational • To provide information and support to staff and students on a wide range of equality and diversity matters (e.g. international student issues) • Co-ordinating University-wide anti-harassment work and the harassment contact network and individual casework • Management of Equality and Diversity Working Group, and participation in Gender Equality Network, Equality and Diversity Steering Group (School of Nursing)

University of DundeeEquality and Diversity: • Concluding Remarks • Learning and Teaching strategy should incorporate legislative requirements and good practice in relation to equality and diversity • University should provide an inclusive learning environment which takes account of the needs of learners and teaching staff in terms of age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief and sexual orientation • Implications for the L & T strategy of the intention to increase recruitment of international students
