Ground Water • Ground Water - water trapped, held, in the pores of rocks - the amount of water changes in the pores - the top edge of this water is called the water table • Water Table - low levels = Drought - high levels = oversaturation (leads to flooding) What are the current water table levels in our area? Why?
Salt Water Lakes • Started as fresh water - outlet to the sea was blocked - man made barriers (Human Environment Interaction) - naturally formed barriers (movement) • What feature houses most of the world’s freshwater?
Landforms • Using the diagram on pg. 34 and 35, identify the landforms. Include a definition, picture, and identify a location that contains the landforms - use the textbook or the online textbook to complete this assignment - use the internet to find locations • This is good information for our future study of regions
