Avila Bay Estates’ New Sirit RFID System By ML ENTRY GATES
Components: What is needed to upgrade Avila Bay Estates to this new system? -Sirit headlamp transmitters -The new Sirit Identity Reader -Aerotechs Wireless Controllers -One Doorking 1837, which Avila Bay Estates already has.
Sirit Headlamp Trasmitters: -These transmitters are tiny stickers that are applied to the resident’s front headlamp -Each one will be assigned to one vehicle and no other. -If one is ever removed from a headlamp for any reason, including thief, the transmitter will be permanently ruined.
Sirit Identity Reader -This reader will be placed at all three entrances. -They will be aimed and tuned to detect a residence’s headlamp -These fully automatic readers will eliminate the need to stop and use a card, or fumble around for one’s clicker.
Aerotech Wireless Controllers -Normally in order to complete this project, new wiring would have to be ran to each of the far gate entrances. -This is an expensive, time consuming, and very messy process. -With these Aerotech Controllers, no trenches will have to be dug nor conduits laid between all the entrances. -One Controller Mate will be placed at the main gate, and one Remote Mate will be placed at each of the far entrances establishing very reliable communication between the gates.
Doorking 1837 -The Doorking will act as the main data base for all the residence and their RFID stickers. -This will be the only software and database, eliminating the complicated Sentex software, which can slowly be phased out, as the RDIFs become the main entrance method. -Since Avila Bay Estates already has one, the preparation for this part will be much faster and easier.
Also the Doorking 1837 will act as a logging unit, through the PC software. It will log: -which resident entered, -what vehicle it was, -and what time that specific person entered Avila Bay Estates
How it all works together: • As the Car approaches, The IDentity reader reads the wegand code on the RFID sticker
Then, the reader sends the wegand code to the Remote mate which is hard wired to it.
The Remote Mate wireless sends the code to the Control MateAnd then the Control Mate sends it to the hardwired 1837 for verification.
-After the 1837 logs all the data and confirms that the wegand belongs to a resident, it sends an open command to the Control Mate-The Control Mate sends it wirelessly to the Remote Mate-And lastly the Control Mate sends the open command to the hardwired gate operator.
And all this happens… In a fraction of a second…
