  4. Challenge for QoS In MANET • Imprecise link state information • Fragile end-end link • Limited bandwidth

  5. Review of routing protocol • Most (e.g. AODV, DSR) discover and maintain only one path without QoS • TORA and other protocols (MNH, AOMDV, SMR ) provide multipath, but not take QoS issue into consideration • QoS-aware MP-DSR provide multi reliable paths, not support real-time traffic

  6. Multipath Discovery with QoS • Discover and maintain multi paths satisfying the QoS requirement for real-time traffic • Activate one path for real-time traffic • Switch to the alternate path when the activating one fail to offer QoS
