ETIOLOGÍA • Infección amniótica o sistémica como desencadenante del trabajo de parto pretérmino • Mayor prevalencia de partos pretérmino en gestantes con infecciones como neumonía, pielonefritis, fiebre tifoidea, bacteriuria asintomática, uretrocistitis, pielonefritis, vaginitis de diversos tipo y enfermedad periodontal • Corioamnionitis clínica: muestra síntomas tales como fiebre, leucocitosis, dolor.

  5. ETIOLOGÍA • Corioamnionitis asintomática: o silenciosa, demuestra colonización sin síntomas de infección • Vía frecuente de infección: ascendente desde el foco cervicovaginal

  6. AMENAZA DE PARTO PRETÉRMINO

  7. INDICE TOCOLÍTICO DE BISHOP

  8. TRABAJO DE PARTO APLAZABLE Corresponde a una calificación de Bishop de 5 a 6 puntos, en donde el nacimiento puede ser diferido solo por un periodo de 24 a 48 horas, tiempo utilizable para la inducción de madurez pulmonar

  9. NACIMIENTO PRETÉRMINO INEVITABLE Ante una escena clínica de complicación del embarazo o enfermedad intercurrente, en que resulta inminente o necesario el nacimiento de pretérmino, se requiere una resolución obstétrica adecuada.
