Goals and objectives of Professional Education • To satisfy the vocational-educational needs of population, supporting professional development, carrier development and social security of people; • To provide economy with competitive qualified labor force; • To maintain the competitiveness of employed labor force through retraining and professional development; • To support adaptation of population to the new social-economic conditions by means of setting up own businesses and self-employment • To Stimulate of student’s mobility; • To provide favorable conditions for professional development and employment of people facing the risk of social outcast; • To promote LLL; • To develop of social partnership in the sphere of vocational education.

Lessons Learnt • The commitment to elaborating NQF for VET by 2009 is very optimistic • Some definitions provided in the Law is to be made more precise • The professional standards for HPP should not be established • The shift from describing what I teach to describing what you learn is a major one
