  1. Meeting No 149, Oct 29 th 2011

  2. Highlights: The 149th meeting was conducted with a creative format with two TMODs for the evening. MTM Sudha Rao and CC Sunil Shenoy brought out the essence of women and men through their interesting address. The theme of the meeting was ‘Men are from Mars and women are from Venus’. The TMODs were successful in grasping the attention of the audience and lightening the mood of the meeting. We also had two evaluators for each speaker with a view to train the new toastmasters in effective evaluation. The stars of the evening were TM Mahesh Prabhu who won the best speaker award, TM Avinash Pangarkar was voted the best table topic speaker, TM Ajit Jain won the best evaluator award.

  3. Educational Session: A fun filled educational session was conducted by Mr. and Mrs. Udayshankar Bolan Based on the theme of the meeting emphasizing that men are from Mars and women are from Venus. The duo shared instances from their personal lives to bring out the idea of the basic differing characteristics of men and women. Being a part of the family of Toastmasters was their positive step in life towards achieving not only communication and leadership skills but also bonding well within the family. The audience enjoyed the session which added charm to the creative theme of the meeting.

Project Speeches, Evaluation and Table Topics: TM Mahesh Prabhu introduced himself through project 1 speech which was evaluated by TM SandeepRungta and CC Supriya TM Ravichandran V delivered project 2 speech which was evaluated by TM Bala and TM Avinash TM Ciby Joseph delivered project 6 speech evaluated by TM VineetBorar and CC Ajit Jain TM ShajuPerinchery delivered his P9 and was evaluated by CC CL Ganpat Kumbhat

  5. Roles : Table Topic Master: RazackAslam was the Tale Topic master. The participants for the Table topics were TM Avinash, Mr. Nagaraj, TM Usha Bolan, TM Ciby Joseph. Word Master: TM Unnikrishnan Sukumaran introduced the word Misandry meaning hatred towards men or boys and its antonym Philandry. Timer :TM Vinod Kumar was accurate in time keeping a time check Grammarian : TM Wilson Lewis highlighted the incorrect expressions used during the meeting. The grammarian was appreciated by the general evaluator. General Evaluator: CC Biji Daniel was the General Evaluator of the meeting. He appreciated he manner of speech evaluations. His suggestions were that there should be a Greet master. Word of the day should be restricted to one word. Agenda of meeting to be printed and circulated among the audience. He suggested that the logo on the banners be revised to the new logo launched by TMI.
