  1. Phillipsburg High School Dress Code Do’s and Don’ts

  2. DON’T wear tank tops violating “Three Inch” Rule Tank tops must have straps that measure “three inches” in width. Tube tops, off the shoulder tops, spaghetti straps, tube tops, midriff tops and tops which expose cleavage are considered inappropriate.

  3. Do wear tank top that meet the requirement This top does not expose the anatomy.

  4. Shirts may not be sheer

  5. Do not wear midriff or revealing clothes

  6. DON’T wear pants, shorts and skirts below the hip. Buy the correct waist size or a belt Undergarments must not be showing

  7. DO wear pants correctly at the waist

  8. DON’T wear skirts and shorts less than “three inch” rule Way too short Too short

  9. Flare skirts do not meet the “three inch” rule

  10. DO make sure skirts and shorts measure “three inches” above knee Shorts must be long enough Skirts must be long enough

  11. DON’T wear spandex clothing and tights, A long top must cover tights Spandex yoga pants are not acceptable

  12. Athletic shorts should not be worn to school- JUST P.E.(Do not pass three inch rule)

  14. Rubber flip flops, slippers, or cleats should not be worn to school

  15. Backpacks and sacks must be placed in locker Sport sacks should only be carried to gym locker. May not carry a backpack to class

  16. Hats may not be worn in the school buildings
