  1. JFS tests process on System z

Every Thursday • A ‘foundation.20.integration_Iyyyymmdd-hhmm’ build to use • That means 2 prerequisites • a repository workspace to create by tests coordinator • 2 Jazz server configurations to set up by technical support • 2 Jazz server configurations to use on z/OS or z/Linux platform • a basic configuration (Tomcat/Derby/Java 1.5 31 bits) • a second specific configuration

  3. Once first prerequisite is passed • On each remote test machine • a RTC client to open • a Eclipse workspace to create • a ‘text encoding file’ preference to update to ‘UTF-8’ • the associated repository workspace to load • a running configuration to create • a check on the number of total tests to execute

  4. Once second prerequisite is passed • On each remote test machine • a time synchronization between the server and the test machine • the already running configuration to use • a server reference to indicate as VM argument • a ‘AllHttpTests’ test suite to launch

  5. Tasks life cycle • 1 parent task, created and owned by tests coordinator • 2 child tasks, created by tests coordinator and owned by technical support, for each server configuration to set up • 3 child tasks, created by tests coordinator and owned by tester • 1 child work item, to load the repository workspace on each remote test machine. This work item includes: • Load workspace • Create running configuration • Perform the check on tests number • 2 child tasks to launch the JUnit test suite on each appropriate test machine.

  6. Parent task is created JFS smoke tests for 2.0 using build foundation.20.integration Iyyyymmdd-hhmm Tag: test_jfs Foundation driver is built Repository workspace Is created Child task is created, to load the repository workspace Child task is created, for server configuration setup Child task is created, to launch the JFS test suite Repository workspace is loaded Server configuration is set up JFS test suite is launched Installation is reported in the child task, by technical support Result is reported in the task, by the tester Parent task is closed Result is reported to JFS team
