JLLIS Transition

Background • JLLIS co-management responsibilities defined by MOA JS J7, MCCLL, and JCOA signed in April 2007. • MCCLL responsible for: • incubation hosting • software development/systems engineering • MOA “escape clause” 90 day termination notice • MCCLL provided JS J7 a 90 day termination letter in early April 2009, effectively terminating the MOA in July 2009. • Migration Plan to JS J7 - FOC 1 Oct 2010 Unclassified

Reasons for Migration • MCCLL/USMC resources • MCCLL refocusing strategic vision to core competencies and support for Marine Corps Operating Forces • “Incubation hosting” – two years and counting. • Without MOA termination, migration would continually be OBE. • Marine Corps will continue to support JLLIS by providing conduit to exchange data.
