Overview • Impact on Windows XP Performance • Performed between 10/21/2008 and 10/24/2008 • Product updates and definitions were downloaded at the same time for an even comparison • Each test was performed at least three times and results averaged • Identical hardware was used for all tests • XP Performance Options were “Adjusted for Best Performance” • All Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 features enabled by default • Environment Hardware Software CPU: 3.4Ghz Hyper-threaded Windows XP SP3 with all updates RAM: 1.0 GB Microsoft Office 2007 NIC: 1Gbps Internet Explorer 7
