  2. 2011 DRR Mapping • Purpose: To highlight disaster risk reduction (DRR) activities, support better programme targeting and ultimately promote more strategic investments in DRR. • Number of people supported: 20. 3 million in 97 countries • Total DRR expenditure: CHF 95.3 million • Per-capita expenditure: CHF 4.69 • Data collected: 122 National Societies (including 23 PNS)

Way Forward • A capacity mapping report is being prepared and will be shared soon. • To strive to get 188 National Societies to capture domestic DRR activities, capacity and spending for the following year. • The results of the DRR mapping support Red Cross Red Crescent positioning, advocacy, communications and resource mobilization. • Our cost-efficiency and effectiveness has improved compared to 2009 and 2010.
