  2. The definition of a integer • A integer has to be a whole number like 1,2,3 ,4… • A integer can’t be a fraction or a decimal. • A integer can be a positive + or a negative -.

  3. Rules when you add a negative with a negative it will be a negative. (-10)+(-20)=-30 when you add a positive with a positive it will be a positive. (+580)+(+1296)=+1876 when you add a negative with a positive it can be a negative or a positive the answer will be the sign of the bigger number and you subtract the two numbers.(-8)+(+4)=-4 zero is never a negative or a positive . (+15)+(-15)=0

  4. Examples • Tom went to the bank to deposit 570 dollars then withdraw 359 dollars how much money is left in the bank? Answer +211 • In Toronto it was -30 then it increased +10 what is the temperature now? Answer -20 • The deep sea divers descended 18 then ascend 10 what's the sum ? Answer -8 • The air plain went up 3189 in the air then went down 638 how high is the plain? Answer +2451
