Stanford Continuing Studies CS 38 ·Hands-on Graphics Production for the Web Week Five EXERCISE 1: JAVASCRIPT ROLL-OVERS 1) Launch Internet Explorer. 2) Go to http://www.stanford.edu/group/csp/cs38/images 3) Download the following files onto your floppy disk by placing your mouse over the link (the link -- not the icon), pressing the right-click mouse button, choosing Save Target As, selecting the floppy disk drive, and saving to your floppy disk drive: blackbackground-berkeley.gif blackbackground-harvard.gif blackbackground-stanford.gif blackbackground-yale.gif bluebackground-berkeley.gif bluebackground-harvard.gif bluebackground-stanford.gif bluebackground-yale.gif

  2. 4) Launch Dreamweaver. 5) Create a new web page (File > New > Basic Page > HTML > Create) 6) In the Title, enter Pick A School. 7) In the body, enter Pick A School in H1 format.

  3. 8) Save the web page on the floppy disk as rollover-school.html 9) Scroll down to the bottom of the web page and click. Under Insert, choose Interactive Images, then Rollover Image.

  4. 10) In the Image Name field, enter stanford In the Original Image field, click Browse, then locate blackbackground-stanford.gif In the Rollover Image field, click Browse, then locate bluebackground-stanford.gif In the Alternate Text field, enter Stanford University In the When Clicked field, enter http://www.stanford.edu 11) Click OK.

  5. 12) Press ENTER. 13) Under Insert, choose Interactive Images, then Rollover Image, and enter the information for UC Berkeley. 14) Press ENTER. 15) Under Insert, choose Interactive Images, then Rollover Image, and enter the information for Harvard.

  6. 16) Press ENTER. 17) Under Insert, choose Interactive Images, then Rollover Image, and enter the information for Yale. 18) Click OK. 19) Save.
